This position will play a critical role in the design, development, integration, testing, and acceptance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) technologies. As a key member of integrated product teams, you will collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality software engineering solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, multidisciplinary projects that advances C5ISR capabilities for our customers.\nResponsibilities:\nDay to day management of engineering deliverables and personnel assigned to program(s) with a focus on generation of all relevant technical documentation, including technical architectures, design, development, specifications, Interface Control Documents, and requirements Verification and Validation plans.\nLead mandated System of Systems Technical Reviews with a focus on: the Engineering System Requirements Review (SRR), the Engineering Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and the Engineering Critical Design Review (CDR), as well as system/subsystems level SRR, PDR and CDR.\nManage Engineering requirements for a developmental C5ISR Systems of System involving multiple national and a few international subcontractors.\nCollaborate with Integrated Product/project Teams (IPTs) and Interface Control Working Group (ICWG) to ensure timely turnaround on technical tasks and associated deliverables.\nConduct trade studies and recommend new technologies to advance capabilities.\nPerform job analysis to estimate engineering effort for specific tasks and projects.\nSupport project engineering activities including financial Earned Value (EV) accountability to meet approved Estimates at Completion (EAC) in collaboration with other Cost Account Managers.\nEnsure compliance with technical processes and policies, including Engineering Bid Reviews (EBRs) and Engineering Program Reviews (EPRs).\nReview program metrics, applying Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) to assess technical progress and risk.\nIdentify and manage technical Risks and Opportunities (R&Os) across program, leveraging company enterprise capabilities.\nIdentify technical issues, support troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions\nSupport engineering management of suppliers, including development of Statements of Work (SOWs), requirements specifications, and process compliance.\nProvide accurate and timely status reports to management and associated IPTs.\nEnsure engineering tasks are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nSupport business development efforts for new system integration projects.\nCollaborate on technical investigations, products development, systems integration and testing plans, and program review meetings to meet customer requirements.\nSupport other engineering staff with engineering-related technical issues and the growth of the division through capability development initiatives.\nRequirements:\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software or Systems Engineering.\nMust be eligible for professional registration (Professional Engineer) under the provincial Association of Professional Engineers in the province of practice.\n10+ years of experience in systems engineering, hardware and software development integration, Verification/Validation and In-Service Support for critical military systems.\n5+ years of experience in development, deployment and maintenance of C5ISR environments for the purpose of equipping and training military personnel with new C5ISR capabilities\nStrong project engineering management skills which will include forecasting, budgeting and the ability to meet various objectives set out in a variety of plans.\nSupport business development efforts for new system integration projects and assist existing programs with technical investigations, development, and review meetings.\nStrong organizational and communication skills, particularly in digitally driven, complex systems designs across multidisciplinary teams.\nExperience with business capture as both a product provider and system integrator.\nProficiency in System Engineering and ILS, Digital Technologies Implementation, and Engineering Life Cycle Management for military programs.\nComputer skills in the Computer Aided Design (CAD) and various other engineering and ILS computer programs\nFamiliarity with the following:\nC5ISR critical systems development with solid understanding of corresponding Architectural Frameworks (AF)\nModeling and Simulation at the system level for critical C5ISR systems.\nManaging requirements using DOORS Next and other Engineering Life-cycle Management tools\nModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) including Universal Modeling Language.\nTraining Management Systems for C5ISR environments; and\nMobile, Local and Wide area networks architectures and deployments\nWell-developed leadership skills including the ability to mentor others and think outside the box to sustain and grow the business.\nStrong computer skills in the Microsoft suite of programs and various other computer programs\nBilingual in English and French is an asset.\nAble to travel Internationally as required.\nThe successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.\nThis position is eligible for consideration of a hybrid work arrangement with set onsite days.\nRTX offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, disability benefits, a retirement savings program, and tuition assistance through RTX’s Employee Scholar Program.
