In this role, you'll lead the development, integration, verification, and certification of complex avionics systems that support mission-critical surveillance products.\nYou'll collaborate with systems architects, software engineers, certification specialists, and cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle-from customer requirements through system validation and certification-while driving technical excellence across the organization.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the decomposition of customer requirements into system, subsystem, and component-level requirements.\n\nProvide technical leadership to a team of Systems Engineers developing complex Traffic Surveillance solutions.\n\nDevelop and verify DAL B compliant avionics systems within the CNS domain.\n\nDefine system architectures, interfaces, and verification strategies for advanced surveillance products.\n\nDevelop tools and automation to improve systems engineering and verification efficiency.\n\nCreate system integration and verification strategies, including test plans, procedures, execution, and comprehensive test reports.\n\nProduce certification artifacts and support regulatory compliance activities in accordance with aerospace standards.\n\nCollaborate with software architects and engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and sustainable system solutions.\n\nDrive engineering process improvements, technical roadmaps, and organizational capability development.\n\nMentor engineers and contribute to talent development, performance management, and technical excellence initiatives.\n\nWhat You Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.\n\n10+ years of experience in avionics systems engineering.\n\n8+ years of experience in systems development across the complete Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements development, architecture, design, implementation, integration, validation, and verification.\n\n8+ years of experience capturing and managing system requirements using Jama and/or IBM DOORS.\n\n7+ years of experience developing system architectures, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), functional decomposition, and system design documentation.\n\n5+ years of experience developing integration, verification, and validation strategies for safety-critical avionics systems.\n\n5+ years of experience working with avionics communication protocols, including AFDX, ARINC 429, ARINC 615/615A, and Ethernet.\n\n5+ years of experience applying aerospace development guidelines, including ARP4754A/B and ARP4761.\n\n3+ years of certification experience supporting FAA, certification authorities, or internal certification organizations.\n\n5+ years of experience working in Agile development environments using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.\n\n3+ years of experience developing automation tools using Python.\n\nExperience with engineering tools including Jama, DOORS, Git, Subversion, and RapiTest.\n\nExperience integrating hardware and software within complex avionics platforms.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:\n5+ years of experience with Traffic Surveillance products, including Transponder, TCAS, ADS-B In/Out, and Traffic Applications.\n\n3+ years of experience supporting SOI audits, certification reviews, and compliance evidence preparation.\n\nWorking knowledge of RTCA DO-178, DO-160, DO-254, and DO-297.\n\n5+ years of experience performing system integration and verification testing.\n\nExperience with Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for avionics systems.\n\nUnderstanding of avionics domains including Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS), Flight Management Systems (FMS), Flight Control Systems (FCS), and Cockpit Displays.\n\nWhat
