Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nThis position is onsite in our McKinney, TX location.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign and develop advanced digital electronic systems that power next-generation aerospace and defense technologies.\nYou will be involved in the complete hardware development lifecycle, from requirements definition and schematic design to testing, validation, product deployment, and sustainment.\nLead and contribute to all phases of Electro-Optical hardware development lifecycle, from concept through qualification, production, and sustainment.\nLead Electronics Unit development of a SOSA-aligned 3U VPX chassis architecture, including module integration, system-level design, backplane configuration, and interoperability validation. Qualified applicants should have experience evaluating VPX payload cards, power and thermal constraints, chassis management (VITA 46/48/65), and high-speed interconnects to develop compliant, high-reliability system solutions.\nPerform hardware verification, testing, and troubleshooting using engineering laboratory equipment.\nDemonstrate the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver SOSA-aligned hardware platforms that meet program performance, environmental, and certification requirements.\nPlan and execute integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.\nDefine schedules for circuit card and sub-system level tasking.\nLead and engage in personal technical growth and facilitate technical growth in peers, early and mid-career engineers.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience with SOSA-aligned 3U VPX chassis architecture.\nExperience with Electro-Optical hardware theory of operation and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues through the development and production life cycle.\nExperience across hardware development phases from requirements and design through integration, test, qualification, production, and sustainment.\nQualifications We Prefer\nKnowledge of aerospace or defense product development standards and processes.\nExperience with Design to Cost (DTC+), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT).\nExperience working on complex aerospace, defense, or safety-critical systems.\nKnowledge of high-speed protocols, such as PCIe, Ethernet, and high-speed memory interfaces.\nExperience with performing circuit card assembly-level architecture trades, and/or with system-level power architecture trades.\nExperience with project management tools such as Earned Value and/or Agile Execution.\nProposal development experience.\nWhat We Offer\nA total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
