Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nWhat You Will Do:\nAs a Principal Specialist in Procurement, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities to support program objectives, ensure compliance, and drive value for the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business needs. Core responsibilities include:\nNegotiate and administer various subcontract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursement, and Time and Materials, for both production and R&D efforts.\nCollaborate with material program management and engineering teams to define and execute procurement strategies.\nMonitor subcontractor performance metrics and recommend or implement corrective actions as needed.\nPrepare and manage subcontract documentation in compliance with company policies, FAR, and DFAR regulations.\nAnalyze complex supply chain challenges and develop solutions that align with organizational objectives.\nPlan and execute assigned procurement tasks independently, ensuring timely delivery of program requirements.\nServe as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with senior personnel on cross-functional initiatives.\nUtilize ERP systems and standard supply chain processes to manage procurement execution and drive material outcomes.\nConduct price analyses, support cost analyses, develop negotiation strategies, and lead negotiations to achieve best value outcomes for goods and services.\nSource, negotiate, award, and document purchases for materials, services, and supplies.\nInterface with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to address technical and program challenges, providing procurement solutions for \"buy\" technologies.\n\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.\nExperience with FAR and DFAR regulations.\nU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62\"\n\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience reading and understanding drawing specifications.\nExperience in cost and price analysis, including developing negotiation strategies and leading formal negotiations.\nExperience with supplier management.\nExperience working within SAP software applications.\nExperience leading executive and program-level supplier reviews.\nExperience making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders.\nRemote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
