Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nThe Surface Radars and Sensors (SR&S) Center within Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is looking for a Principal Radar Systems Engineer to lead radar architecture and requirements development activities. This position will be onsite in Huntsville, AL.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead architecture and requirements development activities to define, characterize, develop, and document Missile Defense System (MDS) radar Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities.\nDevelop architectural framework updates, system-of-systems functional and performance requirements, detailed algorithm descriptions, test scenario definitions, and verification approaches.\nConduct requirements analysis and benchmarking to validate algorithm designs, ensuring system-level performance aligns with operational requirements.\nQualification You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience with radar systems or related systems engineering.\nExperience with radar signal processing, signal processing theory, and/or signal modeling.\nExperience in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, C/C++, and/or Java, and tools such as DOORS.\nQualifications We Prefer\nAdvanced degree in a STEM discipline.\nExperience with radar system concepts, including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithms.\nExpertise in system-level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance.\nExperience designing system-level software architecture.\nProficiency in developing and coding system models, algorithms, test vectors, and evaluation tools for radar requirements and performance analysis.\nExperience developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods, and tools.\nDemonstrated ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.\nExperience working with Linux operating systems.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.\nStrong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.\nExcellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
