This position will be within the batteries and energetics purchasing team. The selected individual will be responsible for leading procurement efforts in support of multiple programs within the NP strategic business unit.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nPlace purchase orders and manage the procurement lifecycle from request to fulfillment.\nNegotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.\nLead supplier meetings to address performance, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.\nUtilize FAR Part 15 price analysis techniques to perform cost and price evaluations.\nPresent findings, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans to leadership.\nCoordinate and lead meetings with internal teams and suppliers to ensure program objectives are met.\nMaintain high levels of organization to manage procurement activities efficiently.\nFoster collaboration across teams to achieve shared goals.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a minimum of 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.\nExperience using SAP for procurement or supply chain management.\nExperience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).\nU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62\"\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience presenting findings or updates to leadership teams.\nExperience with FAR Part 15 price analysis techniques.\nDoD procurement experience and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition\nStrong negotiation skills - ability to lead formal negotiations and teleconferences (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements)\nProficiency to perform and comprehend price and cost analysis, source selection/justification, and analysis of supplier quotation.\nStrong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and all levels of management.\nDemonstrated leadership skills - influence, presence, ability to interface internally and externally with suppliers.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.\nPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role.\nRemote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).
