Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nThe Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is currently looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Systems Engineering Long Range Radars (SE LRR) department. The SE LRR department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance. This position is on site in Woburn, MA.\nWhat You Will Do\nYou will be leading a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development and integration & test teams to ensure effective implementation. Some specific responsibilities:\nAnalyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements.\nIdentifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions.\nDefining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance.\nPresenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers.\nProviding subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.\nAssisting other systems engineers in their investigations and analysis\nYou will contribute to multiple capability areas, including:\nHypersonic threat defense.\nTracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces.\nRadar calibration, diagnostics, and deployed site support.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience with Matlab, C/C++, Java, and/or DOORS.\nExperience with systems analysis, algorithms, requirements development, issue investigation/resolution and/or signal processing techniques.\nQualifications We Prefer\nExperience with BMC4I systems, radar systems, signal processing techniques, and system-level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance, including software architecture design.\nStrong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop technical solutions for complex issues, including radar system concepts (detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithms) and performance analysis.\nProficiency in developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods, tools, and system models, algorithms, test vectors, and analysis tools to support radar requirements and performance analysis.\nExperience with AI/ML applications in signal processing, database design, and algorithm enhancement.\nProficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to interface with customers to lead technical solutions for complex user needs.\nPrevious military service or experience working within military or defense-related environments.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
