Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nReporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, the Process Technician - E-Nickel will be involved in the electroless nickel plating of aircraft components.\nWork Shift: Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 pm - 6:00 am)\nWhat You Will Do\nElectroless nickel plating of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques\nPart fixturing, masking and lacquering.\nLoading and unloading tanks.\nTank/chemistry, associated tooling and PM maintenance.\nAct as a cross functional team member and support various processes as requested\nParticipate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)\nCommunicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts\nObserve and adhere to all safety policies and procedures\nUse overhead cranes to move parts\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications You Must Have\nHigh school diploma, with a minimum of 1-3 years of previous process chemistry background. Prior plating experience would be an asset.\nSound working knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, dial bore gauges and Elco meters.\nThe selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP\nQualifications We Prefer\nDemonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and work with various hand tools.\nStrong understanding of WHMIS.\nOur Advanced Structures team leverages advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex interior and exterior solutions.
