As our Product Control Specialist, you’ll take ownership of critical materials management activities-from precision kitting to proactive inventory control-ensuring every component is exactly where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. Your sharp attention to detail will safeguard the accuracy and reliability of our inventory systems, while your collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams will help drive a seamless, efficient flow of materials to the production floor. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves solving problems before they happen, and wants to make a visible impact every single day.\nResponsibilities:\nEvaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements.\nAssist in production activity control to meet business and financial objectives. Work with Managers to plan and manage product tasks to improve runtime.\nManage, create and pick kit to release manufacturing floor to schedule.\nCreate shipping packages as required by contract, coordinate cross-functional sell-off activities to ensure on time delivery of hardware, and trouble-shooting system generated errors.\nDevelop inventory control techniques including cycle counting to avoid shortages and minimize excess inventory.\nAssist in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule.\nReview job orders and accordingly establish priorities and schedules.\nCoordinate interdepartmental activities with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering.\nEvaluate and provide status updates on assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.\nPlan and monitor materials movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations.\nParticipate in team projects and other tasks as assigned by leadership.\nRequirements:\nA college diploma or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required for this role.\nMinimum 2 years of experience with production control or planning / scheduling.\nStrong computer skills in the Microsoft suite of programs with emphasis on Excel.\nKnowledge of inventory management processes and philosophies, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Just in Time (JIT). Microsoft Dynamics experience would be considered an asset.\nContinuous Improvement process experience.\nAble to communicate and present precise information to internal/external customers and leadership.\nSelf-directed and action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.\nAbility to work under pressure and within time constraints.\nThis position is required to work onsite at our facility in Waterloo, Ontario.\nThe successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.\nRaytheon Canada adheres to the principles of equal employment and welcome applications from all qualified persons. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
