This program will equip the CAF with cutting-edge technology that can counter a wide range of modern threats across diverse operational environments.\nIn this role, you will lead and mentor a team of Technicians and Field Service Representatives (FSRs) while establishing a new production program and associated work areas. This includes defining and implementing work instructions, processes, and workflows to ensure operational excellence. You will oversee repair, assembly, integration, and testing activities for military systems, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality, cost efficiency, and safety standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Lead efforts to establish a new production program and associated work areas.\nDevelop, implement and refine work instructions, processes and standard operating procedures to optimize efficiency and quality. \nEnsure all production workflows align with company standards, industry best practices and program requirements.\nCoordinate daily tasks and assignments for Technicians and FSRs, adjusting workloads and priorities to meet production schedules.\nProvide mentorship, training, and guidance to team members to drive skill development and high performance.\nOversee and support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges as they arise.\nManage team, including recruitment, training, development, performance management, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.\nPartner with engineering teams during technical review phases, including document generation, review and process validation.\nAssist with the assembly, integration, and testing of engineering First Article equipment.\nEnsure all tools, equipment, materials, and technical documentation are serviceable, calibrated, up to date, and readily available.\nPromote and enforce compliance with the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program, ensuring employees are equipped with the necessary training and supervision to perform their work safely.\nEnforce the organization's Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) policy and practices.\nOversee the assembly, integration, testing and repair processes to ensure the highest quality, completeness, and accurate documentation of tasks.\nCollaborate with cross-functional departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Missions Assurance/Quality to successfully launch and sustain the new program while meeting or exceeding delivery schedules.\nTrack and monitor all required paperwork pertaining to the systems, including configuration management of technical documents.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance productions efficiency, quality and safety.\nDrive a culture of innovation and excellences within your team.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support operational and program goals.\nRequirements:\n5+ years of experience working on military systems in a production or operations environment.\nProven track record of leading or contributing to the set-up of new production programs or processes is highly desirable.\nPost-secondary education in a technical field such as mechanical or electronic engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.\nAdditional post-secondary training in supervision or project management is considered an asset.\nStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.\nGeneral proficiency in personal computers and related software is an asset.\nBilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.\nThe successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.\nRTX offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, disability benefits, a retirement savings program, and tuition assistance through RTX’s Employee Scholar Program.
