Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nRaytheon is seeking a Program Operations Manager to coordinate procurement, assembly, test, and shipment of Advanced RF/EW systems.This position serves as the focal point for daily execution activities required to deliver engineered development hardware on schedule. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the Manufacturing team and coordinating with other manufacturing organizations within Raytheon.\nThis Program Operations Manager will work independently and as part of an Integrated Product Team, make decisions within defined guidelines, and operate effectively in changing conditions and team-based environments.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead manufacturing advance planning to ensure paperwork, tooling, processes, and personnel are prepared to meet build schedules.\nDirect and coordinate the sequencing of work, including build and delivery activities, to ensure smooth operations and effective use of resources.\nManage budgets and perform cost account management activities for labor and material.\nCoordinate manufacturing and test failure investigations and drive corrective actions.\nResolve assembly, test, and procurement challenges, including manufacturing resource constraints.\nManage and guide manufacturing and production personnel in a matrixed organization.\nSupport proposals for new business and updates to existing programs.\nCommunicate directly with internal and external customers through routine tag-ups and program reviews.\nLead cross-functional teams by facilitating collaboration, removing barriers, and driving issues to resolution.\nApply strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence outcomes, build alignment, and maintain effective working relationships across Engineering, Operations, and Program Management.\nCoach and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting continuous improvement behaviors.\nTravel up to 10%.\nThis position will be on-site at our Goleta, CA or El Segundo, CA locations.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.\nExperience in operations, manufacturing, program management, or project engineering.\nExperience managing budgets and/or performing cost account management activities.\nExperience coordinating cross-functional activities in a production or engineering environment.\nExperience using ERP or production planning systems (Special Program Access preferred).\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience leading project engineering or manufacturing teams, including in a matrixed organization.\nExperience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.\nEarned Value Management (EVM) experience.\nExperience presenting to senior leaders and customers during reviews.\nActive and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret or higher clearance level or program access after start date.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
