If so, then you may be what we’re looking for.\nWe are currently recruiting for a Project Engineering Manager to join our Air Traffic Management Systems team for the delivery of class leading new and upgraded systems to a global base of customers\nMain Duties:\nAs the key IPT (Integrated Programme Team) member for engineering for one or more of our projects, your main duties would include:\nEngineering leadership of a multi disciplined team of technical experts, responsible for the technical development and delivery of global sensors and weapons products and services to various customers around the world.\nGeneration / Coordination of the Engineering development plans, execution against Raytheon’s standards and gating model, and aligned to the overall Programme’s needs from early bid phase through to final delivery\nWork package management for the team including planning, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators for the work to be performed, working collaboratively with the Programme Manager and rest of the Integrated Programme Team.\nExternal technical first point of contact and liaison for key internal and external customer organisations, including regular reporting of status using agreed methods and measures\nClose liaison with Design Authority to ensure technical integrity of programmes\nRisk and Change Management for all engineering deliverables, including effective planning, mitigations and monitoring to reduction of risk or closure\nManagement and delivery adherence to the programme baseline schedule and costs, using ‘earned value’ techniques.\nDirect and Indirect team management across disciplines, including resource planning, performance goal setting, reward, recognition and timesheets\nCandidate Requirements:\nEssential:\nProven expertise in managing delivery of complex multi-disciplined development programmes, using discretion in tailoring effectively to meet challenging programme needs.\nExtensive experience in systems engineering and guidance of multidiscipline, high-performance teams (cross-functional experience highly desirable) through engineering development cycle.\nClear understanding of financial management and impacts on programmes\nDemonstrated competency for strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management. \nDemonstrated competency in relating efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.\nProven ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team and ability to advise programme teams and stakeholders. \nBroad based technical background with experience in systems design and integration.\nKnowledge of software development and delivery methodologies\nBSc / BEng. in Engineering, Science, or Aeronautical Engineering.\nDesirable:\nExperience within UK/US International defence industry or similar adjacent industry \n Benefits:\n£: Competitive salary \nContributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution) \n6 times salary ‘Life Assurance’ with pension \n25 days holiday (increasing with service) + statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days (37hr) \nCompany bonus scheme (discretionary) \nFlexible Benefits scheme with extensive salary sacrifice schemes, including Health Cashplan, Dental, and Cycle to Work amongst others \nEnhanced sick pay \nEnhanced family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity & shared parental leave \nWork Culture\n37hr working week, although hours may vary depending on role, job requirement or site-specific arrangements. \nEarly 1.30pm finish Friday, start your weekend early! \nRemote, hybrid and site based working opportunities, dependant on your needs and the requirements of the role. \nUp to 5 paid days volunteering each year. \nFlexible working culture focused on output, with more formal flexible working arrangements on request (assessed subject to role) - please highlight any requests to the Talent Acquisition team. \nRTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
