This team supports the delivery of all Royal Navy training, playing a key role in helping them to maintain their operational edge.\nWe do not need you to be a training expert, but we do need you to be an established project management professional. Your day-to-day role will focus on galvanising an Integrated Programme Delivery Team, helping them to anticipate delivery risks and to overcome execution challenges, whilst ensuring that the team has the correct governance and controls in place to support success. This role will report to a Programme Manager within the business area.\nThe Role\nDevelop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.\nCoordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project alignment and transparency.\nIdentify, mitigate and monitor project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.\nMonitor project progress and performance, providing regular status updates and reports to senior management.\nTrack actual costs against planned budgets.\nFoster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport the regular review and update of cross-functional management plans.\nSupport the programme Change Process, including the management of Baseline Change Requests and Work Authorisations.\nQualifications You Must Have\nA relevant Programme / Project Management qualification such as: Prince2; APMP; MSP.\nAn ability to work on site, in Portsmouth for 3 days per week, as well as occasional travel to other sites across the UK.\nQualifications We Prefer\nExperience of working within the defence industry or alongside an MOD customer.\nWorking knowledge of project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel and other relevant applications.\nCandidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.
