UnspecifiedThe Quality Engineer I supports quality assurance, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement activities within an aerospace and metalworking environment. This role supports quality compliance, process improvement, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality documentation to support product and process performance.
What You Will Do
- Support the design, analysis, and optimization of manufacturing processes.
- Conduct inspections and support compliance with applicable aerospace quality standards.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process efficiency and product quality.
- Perform root cause analysis using 8D methodology and support corrective actions.
- Generate reports, maintain documentation, and track corrective actions.
- Support PFMEA and Control Plan development and implementation.
- Analyze manufacturing and quality data using Microsoft Excel.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to support manufacturing and quality activities.
- Work on first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:36 p.m.
- Communicate effectively in English in a working environment.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience applying 8D methodology for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Experience developing and implementing PFMEAs and Control Plans.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Aerospace industry experience in metalworking.
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge.
