Home to the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST), the C-Band RADAR and Very Low Frequency (VLF) radio transmission capability, together these systems add a critical contribution to Australia's space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.\nRight now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a bright and energised Radar / Electronics Technician (C-Band) to join our inspired team.\nIn return, we will support you with access to best practice tools, systems and processes while continually investing in your growth by providing tailored learning and development opportunities.\nReporting to the Space System Supervisor (C-Band RADAR) you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, technical investigations, supporting configuration change activities, actioning customer requests and additional tasks to support both program and operational requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerforming planned and corrective maintenance on the C-Band RADAR System and associated Subsystems\n\nMaintenance planning and reporting\n\nRADAR calibrations and interpretation of results\n\nWorking in a LINUX system environment\n\nTechnical report writing\n\nLogistics support\n\nMaintaining strong relationships with domestic and international stakeholders\n\nOnly employees willing to relocate to Exmouth region will be considered for the role - relocation assistance may be considered\n\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\nA minimum of a Certificate III in Electronics (Communications or Control) or relevant technical discipline\n\nDefence/Maritime Radar, Combat System, Complex Communication and/or Mechanical System experience\n\nExcellent analytical/fault-finding skills\n\nAbility to confidently operate and interpret data from a wide range of test equipment\n\nCandidates must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1).
