This includes design, test, and supplier oversight activities that span preliminary design to integration. Products we develop support radar applications on a variety of tactical missile programs. Critical to this role is designing for challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments.\nThe RF CCA Design for Production Support is responsible for RF CCA Failure Investigation and implementation of design improvements for Up-Down-Converter. This role will work with multi-disciplinary team, mechanical, software, electrical, and manufacturing engineering. This role will investigate production failures and provide technical justification for hardware design and test changes to improve product performance, reliability, and factory yield for production throughput and First Pass Yield (FPY) for circuit card assemblies (CCAs), metal frames, covers, and next-higher-level assembly hardware. The RF CCA Design for Production Support will partner closely with Operation, Test, Hardware Engineering, and Suppliers to resolve production failures and producibility improvements. This role will support RF CCA Design in Design Verification Testing (DVT) of new production spin hardware when received from the supplier.\nThis position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.\nWhat You Will Do\nParticipate in daily engineering support for Failure Investigation and yield improvement activities for RF CCAs.\nCoordinate troubleshooting and resolution activities across RF CCAs, mechanical hardware, Pilot Line Facility (PLF) benches, and supplier benches as issues arise.\nPartner with Operations to remove blockers in Work in Process (WIP), accelerate aged units, and maintain alignment with delivery commitments.\nPerform root-cause investigations for recurring failures or production escapes and implement corrective actions in coordination with responsible engineering teams.\nMaintain thorough documentation of engineering actions, findings, and corrective measures in accordance with Raytheon process discipline.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cycle time, improve FPY, and enhance manufacturing robustness across the Slice.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience to include any of the combination of the following:Production support, hardware troubleshooting, test support, or integration of RF CCAs and electromechanical assemblies.\nFamiliarity with test stations, calibration requirements, and production test processes.\nStrong ability to interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures\n\nAbility to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start.\nQualifications We Value:\nAdvanced degree in STEM field\nTeam Collaboration:\nExperience working in multidisciplinary teams.\nAbility to collaborate with other engineers, project managers, finance, supply chain, and other team leads.\nEffective communication skills for coordinating across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.\n\nStrong academic foundation in one or more of the following:\nCircuit Design (RF, Analog, and/or Digital)\nRF/Microwave Engineering\n\nProduction Experience\nExperience leading daily engineering support for production lines or Slices.\nUnderstanding of FPY improvement methods, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) practices, and data driven issue trending.\nFamiliarity with Raytheon failure review processes, variance documentation, material review boards, and production health reporting.\nHands-on experience with mechanical enclosure assemblies, RF CCA installation, and system-level integration.\n\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
