In this role, you will help design, develop, test, and manufacture cutting-edge compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits (MMICs), phased array hardware, and high-performance modules for advanced defense applications. You will support premier radar and sensing programs-such as Global Patriot Solutions and Early Warning Systems-collaborating closely with multi-disciplinary teams across all stages of integration and hardware verification.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements, characterization, and assembly of RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave test setups. \nDesign, simulate, and analyze RF/microwave components, MMICs, and phased array module hardware. \nExecute component-level and system-level integration and testing for digital, analog, and RF assemblies. \nUtilize automated test instrumentation and software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) to control measurement systems, capture data, and evaluate test results. \nCharacterize devices using advanced laboratory equipment, including Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), and Performance Network Analyzers (PNAs). \nConduct circuit simulations, obsolescence trade assessments, hardware troubleshooting, and failure investigations to resolve performance issues. \nPartner with systems, quality assurance, reliability, and manufacturing personnel to develop robust test solutions and optimize production workflows. \nWhat You Will Learn:\nRF/Microwave device, MMIC, and module characterization techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs) \nTest system set-up \nSoftware such as Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP \nData analysis techniques \nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline. Degree must be obtained by start date. \nCoursework in one or more of the following: RF Circuit Design, Microwave Circuits, Electromagnetics, Antenna Engineering, Microwave Measurements, RF Engineering, Radar Signal Processing, or Radar Design. \nExperience in at least one of the following technical domains: \n- RF/Microwave Design & Measurement: Designing, fabricating, or bench-testing RF/microwave circuits or components (e.g., amplifiers, filters, mixers, couplers), including S-parameter or microwave measurements using network/spectrum analyzers.\n- Antennas & Applied Electromagnetics: Modeling, simulating, or testing antennas or electromagnetic structures using computational tools (e.g., HFSS, CST Studio, ADS, FEKO) or anechoic chamber measurements.\n- Radar Architecture & Signal Processing: Modeling or implementing radar signal processing algorithms (e.g., pulse compression, Doppler processing, beamforming, CFAR, waveform design) using simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python) or embedded hardware.\nExperience building, testing, or characterizing electronic hardware, RF circuits, or antenna systems using standard test benches or measurement facilities. \n* Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nHands-on laboratory experience specific to RF/microwave device or circuit characterization using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and automated test environments.\nProficiency with RF/electromagnetic design and analysis software such as Keysight ADS, ANSYS HFSS, CST Studio Suite, Microwave Office, Cadence Virtuoso, or MATLAB.\nExperience scripting and automating laboratory test equipment using Python, C++, or LabVIEW.\nDemonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, research projects, or engineering team initiatives.\nStrong collaborative, interpersonal, and technical communication skills working in multi-disciplinary engineering settings.\nWhat We Offer:\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
