AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform RF/microwave/millimeter-wave measurements on GaAs and GaN devices, modules and MMICs (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits)\n\nPerform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements\n\nAssemble RF/microwave/millimeter-wave test systems\n\nUse software to control test equipment and plot test results\n\nWhat You Will Learn:\nRF/Microwave measurement techniques including wafer probing, fixtured devices, pulsed measurements\n\nUse of test equipment such as Performance Network Analyzers (PNAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Noise Figure Analyzers, Load-Pull systems etc\n\nUse of software tools such as Labview, Python and Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) to control test equipment and manipulate test date\n\nMeasurement trouble-shooting techniques\n\nQualifications You Must Have:\nMust be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.\n\nMust have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship.\n\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience/coursework in one or more of the following: RF/microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Electromagnetics\n\nLab experience specific to RF/microwave device and circuit measurements\n\nKnowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.\n\nExperience with any of the following software: Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP\n\nWhat We Offer:\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
