Identifies and manages commercial risk. Leads or supports Contract Management activity in respect of responses for Requests for Proposals. Negotiates Purchase Orders and changes. Interfaces internally and externally. Contributes to Business Area strategies.\nThe role will have a primary focus on the procurement and management of production consumables, including chemicals, adhesives, coatings, solvents, soldering materials and other manufacturing consumables. Supports the delivery of commodity strategies, supplier performance, continuity of supply and cost reduction initiatives, whilst identifying opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and material availability.\nMain Duties (Leading and/or Supporting):\nManages the procurement of production consumables, including chemicals, adhesives, coatings, solvents and associated manufacturing materials, ensuring continuity of supply to support operational and programme requirements.\nMonitors and manages supplier performance against delivery, quality, cost and lead-time requirements, proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.\nSupports commodity strategies and cost reduction initiatives, including supplier consolidation, sourcing optimisation and commercial negotiations.\nWorks collaboratively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and other stakeholders to understand material requirements, forecast demand and manage changes in consumption.\nSupports the implementation and ongoing management of inventory and replenishment solutions, including vendor-managed inventory, kanban and vending systems, to improve material availability and procurement efficiency.\nSupports the effective management of shelf-life-controlled materials, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to minimise expiry-related waste and reduce inventory risk.\nLiaises with peers from other disciplines and businesses, as well as the Functional SLT.\nSources, negotiates, awards, and documents purchases for materials, services, and supplies.\nPerforms or supports cost and price analysis, develops negotiation strategies, and leads negotiations to create value-for-money outcomes for procuring goods and services.\nSupports early supplier identification and engagement for new business pursuits.\nSupports Supply Chain bid/proposal activities for strategic pursuits.\nUtilises source selection techniques (e.g., best value, Total Cost of Ownership), performs cost analyses, conducts negotiations, and identifies supplier risks.\nInterfaces with Integrated Product Teams to understand and identify technical and programme challenges that may impact suppliers.\nProvides risk and opportunity analysis for early capture, particularly regarding the introduction of new suppliers, to mitigate risks associated with early supplier decisions.\nEnsures that requirements (e.g., prime contract, quality notes, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers.\nManages supplier performance against cost, schedule, and quality requirements.\nInterfaces with internal and supplier cross-functional organisations.\nAssists in the development of bids and agreements.\nExecutes to customer requirements, including government regulations, public law, and Raytheon policies and procedures.\nActively promotes the contributions of the function in achieving corporate objectives across the organisation, with stakeholders and within the supply chain.\nContinually assesses and promotes sustainable and responsible procurement, including social, cultural, and diversity values within the organisation and throughout the supply chain.\nFacilitates relationships between programme office/functional organisations and suppliers.\nUtilises project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers.\nInitiates and
