Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities :\nQuality Assurance / Quality Engineering\nParticipate in New Product Development (NPD), First Article Inspection (FAI), product inspections, supplier audits, and process audits to ensure compliance with customer quality requirements.\nLead, mentor, and coach inspectors, junior inspectors, and designated inspection personnel in interpreting engineering drawings, understanding manufacturing processes, and maintaining quality documentation.\nConduct quality awareness programs and provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, inspection methods, and customer-specific requirements.\nEnsure the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 requirements, applicable FAA regulations, and organizational quality policies.\nCommunicate quality policies, procedures, objectives, and performance expectations to suppliers and ensure compliance with established quality requirements.\nCoordinate with customers during quality audits, product inspections, and performance reviews, addressing concerns and monitoring key quality performance metrics.\nReview customer specifications, regulatory requirements, audit findings, and non-conformance reports; implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions to maintain QMS compliance.\nInvestigate customer complaints, field failures, and product quality issues using structured root cause analysis and ensure timely corrective action implementation.\nLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving activities, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma projects to improve product quality and operational efficiency.\nReview and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and document revisions to ensure continued compliance with customer requirements and applicable quality standards.\nCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and process teams to improve product manufacturability, optimize process specifications, and support equipment and tooling design and selection.\nParticipate in the development and maintenance of quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and production flow analysis to improve process capability and productivity.\nPrepare, review, and report monthly operational quality metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement improvement actions to achieve established quality objectives.\nInvestigate non-conformances arising from manufacturing, testing, repair, and inspection processes; perform root cause analysis and recommend actions to prevent recurrence.\nParticipate in safety committee activities, including safety inspections, incident investigations, root cause identification, and corrective action recommendations to facility management.\nApply PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, and Gauge R&R studies to identify process risks, strengthen process controls, and evaluate measurement system capability.\n Qualifications:\nDiploma Engineering / Engineering Degree/ Equivalent from an accredited college or university\n4 to 6 years’ experience in a electrical assemblies / Manufacturing environment with at least 3 years leading a team of Quality\nNothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
