Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nPratt & Whitney’s Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organization is seeking a proactive, goal-oriented, and detail-focused Senior Design Engineer to support the design and production of compressor blades and vanes in Columbus, Georgia. This role partners with Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT), ESTO, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams to address design requirements, engineering changes, field issues, and production improvements for commercial and military engine hardware.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform compressor blade and vane design activities within an Integrated Product Team (IPT), ensuring technical requirements and program deliverables are met.\nEvaluate product improvement opportunities and process Class 2 engineering changes to address design, quality, and producibility requirements.\nConduct design analysis supporting quality nonconformances, stop-delivery orders, supplier requests, and hardware field investigations; identify root causes and recommend product improvements.\nSupport the incorporation of Airfoil 2.0 at Columbus Forge and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to reduce nonconformances and improve manufacturing producibility.\nPrepare and present technical recommendations and program status to CIPTs, Compression Systems Module Center, ESTO leadership, and program management as required.\nTravel Requirement: less than 10% | Domestic, International.\nWhat You Will Learn:\nGain hands-on experience designing and supporting commercial and military engine compressor blades and vanes.\nDevelop expertise in aerospace engineering changes, product improvement, and manufacturing support.\nBuild experience with quality nonconformance investigations, root-cause analysis, and hardware field investigations.\nDevelop cross-functional experience working with design, manufacturing, quality, CIPT, and ESTO organizations.\nStrengthen technical communication and presentation skills through engagement with engineering and program leadership.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
