Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nTheShipboard Effectors Department is currently searching for an Electrical Design Engineer II to work on a multi-discipline team to support the production of Shipboard Effectors products and subsystems located in Louisville, KY.\nThis Electrical Engineering position is responsible for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and other electrical subsystem hardware. We are seeking candidates with the skills and passion to engineer complex systems, subsystems, circuit card assemblies, and components.\nA successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes. A candidate is willing to collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.\nWhat You Will Do:\nTroubleshoot hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels\nResolution of issues on production lines and in testing (including suppliers)\nFailure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation\nPerforming analog and digital circuit analysis, and characterizing and modeling electrical signals of electronic subsystems in simulation\nIdentifying and instantiating circuit card and subassembly design updates\nSome travel to suppliers may be required\nQualifications You Must Have:\n Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
