Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nRaytheon's Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team is looking for senior level engineers who have electronics knowledge to help design robust power, analog, or motor controls systems.\nThe Effector Analog & Power Department is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of Telemetry and Flight Termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides the analog to digital interface to our front-end sensors. Each of these products generally operates in lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry. This circuitry will dominantly involve non-isolated and isolated switch mode power converters and linear converters. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.\nHelp to see circuit card development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing.\nLead small teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution.\nDrive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit level tasking.\nGuide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stack up definition.\nQualifications You Must Have\nRequires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced STEM degree.\nDesign, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.\nExperience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools.\nExperience with analog or digital electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.\nQualifications We Prefer\nAn advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.\nRobust design and analysis experience with analog or digital power converter design, to include topologies such as flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, forward, and push-pull.\nConceptual familiarity and experience must include stability.\nConceptual familiarity (professional experience preferred) with transformer and inductor design considerations in power electronics circuits.\nExperience with performing circuit card assembly-level power architecture trades, and/or with system-level power architecture trades, including power converter specification development experience.\nExperience guiding Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.\nExperience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.\nExperience in any one of the following:Acting as a liaison between program and functional management in a cross-matrixed organization\nMilitary specifications\nDesign considerations for voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW.
