This Department is responsible for the full spectrum of warhead, fuzing, and propulsion designs/technology, including power systems, ignition, and all other weapon initiation safety systems technology. An individual in this role will be expected to work with a product team and functional subject matter experts to develop architectures, top level design concepts, requirements, and manage production efforts for a variety of one shots devices (i.e. initiators, gas generators, pyroswitches, explosive bolts).\nThis position is an onsite role located in Tucson, Arizona.\nWhat You Will Do:\nApply and/or develop advanced one shot and/or battery technologies using scientific principles, theories and concepts implementation into products\nProvide technical oversight to various subcontractors\nManage subcontract suppliers to specify and deliver required subsystem components on schedule and on budget\nFrequently interface with the customer to identify user needs\nCommitment to program schedule and budget\nTechnical oversight of our power source batteries development programs\nYou will ensure two-way communication management; serve as the day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning resource technical assignments\nContribute to technology development roadmaps\nSupport failure analysis and corrective action through redesign of failed one shot device components or systems\nPresent one shot device design models and supporting analyses/test results to internal and customer review meetings\nSupport proposals requiring one shots technologies\nSupport development of Critical Item Development Specifications (CIDS)\nMust be willing to travel to suppliers and government facilities\nTechnical management of subcontracts on Government program\nProposal and cost preparation, requirements definition, and one shot device subsystems analysis, test and verification; operational test support; supplier collaboration\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience\nFive (5) years of experience in fuzing / one shots/ Battery / engineering technology and/or engineering design\nActive and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
