The successful candidate will join the Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles Engineering Project team to provide production and field support for our operational commercial engines. This mainly includes components related to engine externals.\nGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE\nThis position is for a Project Engineering professional working with limited support. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations, identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance.\nJOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nMAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS\nSupports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets\nTracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations\nSupports in the preparation of status and technical content to Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and upper Pratt & Whitney management\nAnalyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work\nWork closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements\nSupports Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change execution\nTechnical background to lead design integration with Airframer and suppliers on components like engine Nacelles.\nMaintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met\nSupport in the execution of risks assessments and mitigation plans \nIdentifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects\nFacilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives\nOTHER MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS\nAttend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required\nActively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts\nBased on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company\nSupport project management activities\nBasic Qualifications:\nM.Tech or B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering\n6+ years of experience with M.Tech or 8+ years of experience with B.Tech preferably in Aerospace/Gas Turbine Engineering\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working in the Aerospace Industry\nPrevious gas turbine experience\nWorking proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software\nThe ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships\nExperience with Microsoft Office applications\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nExcellent at promoting teamwork\nAdditional Requirements:\nTravel up to 10%\nIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
