We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations.\nThe Safety Risk Analyst will work within a centralized discipline team executing on the following:\nUtilize specialized knowledge in statistics, reliability, safety, and risk forecasting to provide safety risk analyses for a breadth of products across all Collins Aerospace SBUs;\nCreate safety risk analyses using appropriate rate-based analysis or Weibull analysis and combine with Monte Carlo simulation where applicable; c) Apply appropriate hazards to generate forecasts relative to established military and commercial safety risk thresholds;\nDocument methodology and risk results according to regulatory requirements\nThis position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.\nThis role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.\nWhat YOU will do:\nTake full technical responsibility for communicating with internal customer to achieve the best possible safety risk analysis (SRA) with the data available.\nProvide input to optimize product safety mitigation implementation, including specialized burndown plans to account for nonstandard scenarios.\nParticipate at Collins Risk Analysis and Statistical Methods community of practice (CoP).\nSupport the Product Safety Managers (PSM) as needed with participation and support at the Product Safety Integrity Team (PSIT) and Product Safety Board (PSB).\nSupport development of strategic roadmap for SMS safety risk management pillar.\nDevelop and maintain Standard Work, lessons learned, processes, and best practices for safety risk analysis.\nCoordinate with Reliability and System Safety Analysis to assure product safety imperfections and improvements are properly recorded and accounted for in read-across,\nSupport risk management activities, including safety policy, risk management, assurance, and promotion.\nContinue to develop and participate in efficient process improvements using CORE Principles \nQualifications you must have:\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience\nDemonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).\nU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.\nQualifications We Prefer:\nWeibull analysis, reliability tools, and exceptional Excel skill or ability to code in a programming language (R, Python, etc.).\nExperiencing extracting appropriate information to deliver an accurate analysis to be used by executives for decisions on product safety.\nStatistics/coding/engineering/mathematics background with expertise in statistics, reliability and safety (R&S) engineering, preferably with aerospace application.\nExperience in probability theory, Weibull analysis, Monte Carlo simulation and coding in a structured programming language.\nSkilled in the mathematics and methodologies of safety and reliability engineering, including a general understanding of fault tree analysis, reliability block diagrams and FMEA.\nMechanical and electrical engineering experience, including inspection methods and manufacturing techniques.\nMS or PhD in statistics with exceptional skill level programming in R.\nExperience performing complex statistical analyses.\nWhat We Offer\nSome of our competitive benefits package includes:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\nThree weeks of vacation for newly hired employees\nGenerous 401(k) plan that includes employer matching funds\nParticipation in the Employee Scholar Program (ESP)\nLife insurance and disability coverage\nEmployee Assistance Plan, including up to 8 free counseling sessions.\nAnd more!\nLearn More & Apply Now!\nCollins Aerospace, an RTX business, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
