CMCs are an enabling material that increases the temperature capability of jet engine components. Through successful development and application of these materials, P&W will deliver engines that are more fuel efficient, lighter weight and more durable for commercial and military applications.\n What You Will Do:\nDesign, program, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC systems to support manufacturing operations.\nDevelop, test, and maintain control systems and instrumentation for manufacturing equipment.\nIntegrate instrumentation and control systems with existing processes and machinery. \nCreate and implement strategies for automation to improve quality and minimize process costs.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and maintenance, to identify and resolve production challenges.\nPerform diagnostics and root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems, ensuring minimal downtime.\nCalibrate instruments and control devices to ensure accuracy and reliability.\nDesign and implement system upgrades, including hardware and software modifications, to improve performance and reliability.\nMaintain detailed documentation of control systems, including P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and electrical schematics.\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations related to control systems and instrumentation.\nWork closely with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to optimize system performance.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.\nA minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell Automation, or similar platforms).\nFamiliarity with industrial control systems, instrumentation, and electrical schematics.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nUS Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. \n\nQualifications We Prefer:\nHands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, or HMI software during internships, co-op programs, or academic projects.\nExperience with TIA Portal or Easy Builder Pro platforms and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nExperience with chemical processing and knowledge of manufacturing processes as well as automation technologies.\nUnderstanding of standards such as OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, and ISA.\nExperience with data acquisition systems and industrial sensors (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow).\nAbility to perform instrument calculations, such as valve sizing and voltage.\nKnowledge and effective practice of EH&S (Environmental, Health and Safety) and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements.\nWhat We Offer:\nBenefits\nRelocation Package\nLearn More & Apply Now!\nWhat Is My Role Type: In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
