Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nOverview:\nThis position is for a Senior Repair Engineering professional with sound knowledge and technical expertise in designing repairs and providing technical solutions on all Collins Aerostructures commercial Nacelle hardware to help minimize aircraft downtime and ensure compliance with certified type design and airworthiness (FAA/EASA) requirements.Primary Responsibilities:\nQuickly understands and assesses Airlines’ unique requirements and provides technical and informational support for in-service issues.\nReviews various maintenance documentation to identify solution(s) for in-service concerns and look proactively for potential fleet solutions.\nReviews engineering drawings and installations to ensure customer questions/concerns are resolved.\nInvestigate the problems to provide engineering dispositions of discrepancies to return airplanes to revenue services.\nDesign repair solutions for medium to complex technical issues requiring creativity and ingenuity in helping airlines with operational and maintenance requirements.\nMake engineering judgments and apply technical expertise to perform repair design development on metallic and composite structures.\nCommunicate with Airline customers for rapid development of technical solutions and work with Airframers, Engine Manufacturers and Suppliers as necessary, to evaluate repair technical data.\nWork with Collins Spares team, Airline/Field Support Managers in resolving Customer issues.\nComply with the US and country specific export control requirements.\nReport into Aftermarket technical services manager and help in driving organization’s vision of the best aerospace systems company in the worlds.\nWork with a globally diverse aftermarket team of highly skilled engineers and be at the forefront of driving airline customer experience.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelors or master’s degree in Mechanical engineering or Aeronautics with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.\nSound knowledge of developing repairs for metallic and/or composite structures and various inspection methods and common defects.\nDemonstrate technical understanding of maintenance, repair, overhaul, and regulatory requirements in the commercial aircraft industry.\nFlexibility to work in day shifts, weekends and holidays, on rotation as required is imperative.\nAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with short lead times handling multiple repair tasks.\nPreferred Skills:\nFunctional knowledge of Nacelle Systems and its components on civil aircraft programs.\nPrevious experience in Aftermarket customer support engineering organization.\nVery good familiarity and working knowledge of CRM systems like MS Dynamics.\nConversant with maintenance manuals such as CMM, AMM, SRM, SB, AD, etc.\nConcessions experience (Wings, Fuselage) etc in both Metallic & Composite.\nGood verbal and written communication and presentation skills.\nExperience in handling of repair, maintenance and retrofit processes, practices and documentation.\nGood team player, willing to work in a dynamic and fast paced collaborative environment.\nAbility to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively.\nAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with short lead times handling multiple repair tasks.\nBasic knowledge of Nacelle Systems for legacy aircraft programs and new aircraft programs such B787, A320Neo, A350 is preferred.\nBasic knowledge of EASA/FAA requirements and Associated Repair documentations.\nStrong Knowledge of Catia V5 (part, assembly, surface design tools), Added advantage with Catia CPD/CPE and Fibersim for composites and Enovia.\nCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
