Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nRaytheon is seeking a Senior Material Verification Engineer to lead the disposition and management of nonconforming material across both Raytheon facilities and our third-party logistics (3PL) partner, GXO. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment and support inspection processes for supplied materials and products. Your expertise will be directly applied to strengthening the success of Raytheon Operations Quality.\nThis is an onsite position based in Tucson, AZ, with regular onsite support required in Marana, AZ. After a planned material transfer later this year, the Marana location will become the primary work site.\nNOTE - this position does not provide relocation assistance.\nWhat You Will Do:\nIdentify and manage supplied non-conforming material.\nSupport Return to Vendor (RTV) activities.\nDaily interaction with other cross- business teams in Raytheon to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, supply chain, maintenance, production control, and the program management office.\nEnsure full compliance with company policies and procedures.\nIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE.\nWork directly with Raytheon suppliers to drive the closure of material on hold.\nWork with inspectors to ensure the material is moved efficiently through inspection process after engineering disposition.\nMaking decisions that may affect program build time in order maintain quality requirements.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. In absence of a degree, 9+ years of experience.\nExperience reviewing/interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.\nPrevious experience with material disposition and Non-Conformance Management \nThe ability to obtain and maintain an INTERIM clearance prior to the start date.
