The HWE Team uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon’s CORE principles. HWE’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation. The Radar Mechanical Design Department leads mechanical design, development, and integration of some of the most innovative land-based and shipboard radars in the world. This includes phased array radar systems, electronic modules, pedestals, and power and liquid cooling systems. The department comprises individuals with technical expertise and experience in all phases of hardware design, integration, and production support.\nThe Senior Cooling Systems Engineer will support cooling and hydraulic systems used in a variety of harsh environmental military applications. Our primary role is to design and support the fabrication, testing, and installation of custom liquid-cooled systems for radars. We also support custom air-cooling of power and communication shelters.\nWhat You Will Do\nWorking collaboratively with our customers to establish cooling systems requirements\nMechanical design, analysis, and documentation of cooling hardware and system \nSelection of components including pumps and heat exchangers\nDrawing generation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation\nResolution of change requests from manufacturing or suppliers\nProvide technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and process meet appropriate standards and requirements.\nFactory and supplier support of product integration domestically and internationally\nWillingness to travel to domestic Raytheon sites, suppliers, and government facilities.\nWillingness for international travel to Middle East, Asia, and Europe to foreign sites, suppliers, and facilities.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant prior experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.\nExperience in the fields of Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and/or Heat Transfer.\nEngineering project experience involving cooling systems - liquid cooling or air cooling.\nExperience in solid modeling tools such as Pro/Engineer, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar tool.\nQualifications We Prefer\nAn advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).\nExperienced in the application of ANSI 14.5M - 1994 (1982), Geometric Dimension & Tolerance.\nProficiency in Product Data Management (PDM) or equivalent configuration/data management software\nCollaborate with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.\nExperience with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nWhat We Offer\nA total rewards package that goes above and beyond with compensation; healthcare, wellness, and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
