Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nThe following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Classified Digital Services (CDS) organization.\nAs a Senior Network Engineer, you will provide advanced engineering expertise to support secure, reliable, and high-performing network infrastructure for classified operations. You will lead complex troubleshooting efforts, strengthen network security, ensure compliance, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.\nWhat You Will Do\nImplement, secure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation, and classified communication technologies.\nLead complex network troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation efforts.\nDevelop and maintain secure networking standards, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.\nOversee core network services, including DNS, DHCP, IP management, VPNs, VLANs, and traffic optimization.\nLead network upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and security hardening.\nMaintain accurate network documentation, configurations, and environment inventories.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity, systems administration, and classified-program teams to ensure secure, highly available environments.\nMentor junior engineers and drive improvements in network performance, resilience, and security.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.\nActive Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.\nAdvanced knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, QoS, BGP, and OSPF.\nExtensive hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco and Palo Alto.\nQualifications We Prefer\nActive TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, or eligibility to obtain the required clearance.\nCertifications Strong understanding of secure network operations, segmentation, access controls, firewall policies, and threat mitigation.\nStrong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.such as CCNP, CISSP, Security+, or other advanced networking and security credentials.\nExperience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.\nFamiliarity with classified computing environments, compliance frameworks, and accreditation processes.\nExperience with cloud or hybrid networking technologies, including Azure or AWS.\nLearn More & Apply Now!\nWork Location Onsite \nPlease consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role:\nOnsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
