Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nWe are seeking a Senior Operations Quality Engineer with hands-on hardware quality experience to become a key part of the Sensors Operations Quality Team. Here at Raytheon, our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.\nWhat You Will Do:\nBaseline factory metrics (Scrap, Rework, FPY, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement. \nEngage MFG DPT teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment, Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation. \nPerform process walks, operator observations, and lead MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation. \nLead/Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand. \nIdentify supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team. \nPerform verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness. \nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and five (5) years related Quality Engineering experience \nManufacturing process experience (assembly, inspection, test) \nExperience in identifying root cause and initiating/implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions \nExperience in development/usage of Quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action, and in the identification/institution of perceptive verifications. \nExperience with industry technical standards, interpreting drawings, work instructions, consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control \nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. \nQualifications We Prefer:\nDemonstrated knowledge of key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques. \nPrevious experience managing cross functional process improvement teams with technical expertise. \nStrong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems \nSix Sigma, ASQ Certifications \nProficient in the use of pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping \nAble to facilitate cross-functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing) \nExperience engaging with DCMA/MDA or other external customers. \nExisting US DoD Secret (or higher) clearance\n\nLearn More & Apply Now\nPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
