Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio, and expertise to solve and support customers’ toughest requirements and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.\nThe Senior Principal Engineer- Structural Engineering will serve as the subject matter expert for certification compliance and airworthiness, responsible for executing STC, PMA, UK CAA and OEM certification programs, developing certification strategy, and developing Structural Engineers within the organization.\nThis is an onsite role in Leighton Buzzard, UK.\nWhat you will do\nDefines standards and implements processes for certification and airworthiness within the engineering organization.\nExecutes certification compliance campaigns for programs related to commercial aircraft interior upgrades.\nPartners with regulators, aircraft OEMs and organizations across Collins on certification strategies to enable and grow the aftermarket business.\nCoordinates with management to develop training plans, and mentors team members for discipline advancement.\nReviews and approves test plans, reports, compliance documents, and witnesses testing.\nConducts root cause analysis, participates in and facilitates continuous improvement activities to improve performance.\nIdentifies and reacts to complex project problems, develops and implements solutions.\nExperience & Qualifications we prefer:\nExperience in a similar role is essential.\nExperience working in aerospace environment is essential, ideally within In Service/Aftermarket.\nExtensive Experience with aircraft OEM, FAA and/or EASA aircraft certification processes.\nM1020 Signatory experience is also essentia l\nExperience in the design and certification of mechanical and electrical systems for commercial aircraft interior products.\nCurrent EASA/ UK CVE or Company equivalent within Part 25.\nWhat You Will Learn:\nProfessional Development:Gain access to company-sponsored certifications and training programs, mentorship and guidance from industry leaders, opportunities to develop your leadership skills by driving exciting high-impact projects and initiatives.
