Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nRaytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment.\nEvery day will bring new challenges, requiring you to collaborate across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and you'll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly.\nWhat You Will Do:\nIn this Senior Principal Systems Engineer role, you will support the following types of activities:\nCore Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.\n\nLead Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.\n\nTroubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.\n\nModeling and Simulation: Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.\n\nIntegrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.\n\nDocument and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.\n\nPerform Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.\n\nPresent Findings: Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.\n\nSupport Missions: Travel as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.\n\nThis role can be based out of Tewksbury, Andover, or Marlborough MA or Pelham NH.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.\n\nExperience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.\n\nExperience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB\n\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.\n\nExperience with model-based engineering.\n\nExperience in developing and managing requirements.\n\nExperience with C++, Python, or similar\n\nExperience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.\n\nExperience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.\n\nExperience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.\n\nExperience interfacing with internal and external customers.\n\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
