Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defence.\nSummary of Role:\nReporting to the manufacturing operations manager, the senior production manager will provide senior support to a team of production managers managing programmes across both the Glenrothes and Livingston sites. This support will ensure:\nProduction programs are managed within agreed quality standards as well as financial budgets and timescales.\n\nManufacturing compliance is maintained to RUK standards\n\nFinancial review, analysis and reporting are delivered in line with business requirements, to RUK Control Account Management standards\n\nContinuity of production is maintained across the Glenrothes and Livingston site\n\nWhat your days will look like:\nEnsuring world-class safety culture is maintained and respond to all site EH&S requirements promptly\n\nLeading and managing a team of Production Managers, providing them with coaching and development.\n\nEnabling a culture of high performance, engagement and accountability.\n\nSupporting workforce planning activities such as recruitment of resource to meet business demand.\n\nDriving the team to ensure manufacturing compliance is maintained to RUK standards\n\nAccountability for manufacturing both Glenrothes and Livingston locations holding overall responsibility for production of quality products in an efficient and timely manner.\n\nProviding leadership coaching and development for production management team.\n\nDisciplined execution of the daily lean management system, including tiered accountability meetings, visual management systems, and leader standard work.\n\nDriving accountability to daily results and rapid corrective actions to overcome misses.\n\nChampion for safety, quality improvement, and CORE programs across all manufacturing areas.\n\nCandidate Requirements\nEssential:\nLeadership experience of diverse teams\n\nExtensive Management experience in a similar environment.\n\nStrong SAP & MS Office Skills\n\nExperience in a mixed-mode manufacturing environment, utilising interfaces with ERP systems\n\nStrong communication and presentation skills\n\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive salaries.\n\n25 days holiday + statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days (37hr)\n\nContributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution)\n\nCompany bonus scheme (discretionary).\n\n6 times salary ‘Life Assurance’ with pension.\n\nFlexible Benefits scheme with extensive salary sacrifice schemes, including Health Cashplan, Dental, and Cycle to Work amongst others.\n\nEnhanced sick pay.\n\nEnhanced family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity & shared parental leave\n\nWork Culture:\n37hr working week, although hours may vary depending on role, job requirement or site-specific arrangements.\n\nRemote, hybrid and site based working opportunities, dependant on your needs and the requirements of the role.\n\nA grownup flexible working culture that is output, not time spent at desk, focussed.
