In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting and maintaining our Snowflake Data Lake. This position requires a self-starter with a solid technical background in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and related tools, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration. You will act as the second level line of support for data lake operations to triage and resolve escalated issues as needed.\nThis role provides an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge data technologies, contribute to critical data initiatives, and grow your expertise in Snowflake, ETL/ELT, and related tools. If you are passionate about data and excited to be part of a collaborative, innovative team, we encourage you to apply.\nWhat You Will Do:\nProvide second-level support for the Snowflake Data Lake environment, troubleshooting issues escalated by First-level support as necessary.\nDevelop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL scripts to ensure efficient data processing.\nManage and enhance ETL/ELT workflows using Matillion, ensuring data pipelines are robust, scalable, and reliable.\nTranslate business requirements into clear technical designs and solutions that align with organizational goals.\nUse Jira for case management, tracking issues, and applying story pointing for project planning and execution.\nMaintain and enhance existing processes, or create new ones where gaps exist, ensuring documentation is comprehensive and stored in Confluence.\nCollaborate with team members to design and implement data models and optimize Snowflake performance.\nSupport data integration efforts, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.\nProvide operational support for Global Trade data, including data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.\nEnsure proper documentation of processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides for efficient knowledge sharing.\nMonitor and maintain data quality and integrity within the data lake environment.\nAdhere to best practices for data security, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.\nQualifications You Must Have\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related technical role or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.\nIntermediate to strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and PL/SQL with hands-on experience with Matillion for ETL/ELT processes.\nBasic understanding of Git and version control principles (use of GitHub Actions is a plus but not critical). \nSolid understanding of ETL/ELT principles, with experience designing and maintaining data pipelines.\nAbility to translate business and technical requirements into actionable technical designs with experience using Jira for managing tasks, tracking cases, and applying story pointing for Agile workflows and experience with process documentation and knowledge management tools, preferably Confluence.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.\nQualifications We Prefer\nWorking knowledge of Python for scripting and automation purposes.\nFamiliarity with handling Global Trade data and supporting applications.\nHands on experience with Power BI.\nExperience with Snowflake-specific features such as virtual warehouses, data sharing, and performance tuning.\nUnderstanding of data governance principles and best practices.\nWhat We Offer\nWhether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs.
