Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineer to support their manufacturing shop floor.\nThe Software Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day development, support, and troubleshooting of custom and off-the-shelf manufacturing applications. This will include but not limited to: Machine tool HMI screens, reporting or visualization tools such as manufacturing tracking and priority systems, Manufacturing process data consolidation, and Statistical Process Control tools (SPC).\nDesign and create HMI /SCADA interfaces for shop floor machine tools.\nDesign and create custom business applications to collect, analyze and report data critical to plant operations.\nAnalyze application performance and debug and/or repair as necessary.\nModify custom applications to accommodate new functionality needed to satisfy compliance or business requirements.\nDesign reporting solutions and present a mock-up of the expected reporting output for review and approval.\nConvert legacy software applications to current technologies.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nBachelor's degree in a STEM field and 5 or more years of experience in software engineering, in manufacturing operations or similar environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years of experience in software engineering, in manufacturing operations or similar environment \nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite\nExperience with a programming language such as .Net, Java, or Python.\nExperience with Oracle and/or SQL Server or other relational databases\nExperience with source control tools such as Git\nSelf-Starter, works well with minimal supervision\nQualifications We Prefer:\nExperience in automation or robotic applications\nPLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Factory Talk)\nExperience with the Ignition by Inductive Automation software platform\nComputer Science or Engineering degree (computer, software, or electrical)\nExperience creating reports and data analysis\nPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
