Here at Raytheon, our Operations Quality Continuous Improvement Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement. This position will support the Portsmouth RI factory.\nNOTE - this position does not provide relocation assistance\nYou will be a key player working with leaders in Operations, Quality, Program Management, and Engineering to solve problems & drive improvements on our nation’s most advanced defense systems. If you’re passionate about what you could accomplish here, we’d love to hear from you.\nWhat you will do:\nBaseline factory metrics (Scrap, Rework, FPY, TUH, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast future demand for top drivers and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.\nConduct Quality Verifications and execute DD250 Sale Process with onsite Defense Contractor Management Agency Quality Representative.\nEngage Operations to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment, Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation.\nPerform process walks, operator observations, and lead MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.\nLead/Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand.\nAbility to support weekend Operations Production assembly\nSupport Tier meetings with Operations Team members\nPerform verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness.\nIdentify opportunities for improvements to be leveraged across similar process/assemblies as well as other programs.\nQualifications You Must Have:\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study and five (5) years related Quality Engineering experience.\nMechanical Assembly and Cable Manufacturing experience\nExperience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems\nPrevious experience partnering with external Suppliers \nManufacturing process experience in one of the following: (assembly, inspection, test)\nExperience in identifying root cause and initiating/implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions.\nExperience with using Quality metrics to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action, and in the identification/institution of perceptive verifications.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
