Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nWe have an exciting opportunity for Senior Material and Process Engineer to join our Material and Process (M&P) team supporting varieties of product lines in McKinney, Texas. The engineer will be responsible for material tests and analyses planning, production hardware empirical testing, special engineering assignment, emerging program technical supports and new product integration activities. This individual will work with a cross functional team including manufacture engineers, quality engineers, supply chains, operation value stream, and program authority to resolve pressing technical design and producibility issues.\nThe Material and Process Engineering team within McKinney, TX drives business success by providing engineering expertise to solve today’s problems in multiple domains. The material engineering discipline serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the material characteristic in terms of hardware compatibility, operational endurance, manufacture environment adaptability and many aspects of producibility incorporation.\nAs a Senior Engineer, you shall demonstrate superior hands-on engineering skills and knowledge, mentor junior engineers and work with other functional disciplines in collaboration.\nWhat You Will Do\nEvaluation and identification of materials and processes based on program specification, design and performance requirements\nBe a part of integrated team in design element, select and approve materials usage, substrate finishes in new and emerging programs\nBe a part of rapid response team that address factory manufacture process interruption\nLead supplier material troubleshoot issue\nLead or collaborate in analyses and reporting documentation of technical positions for alternate materials, obsolescence, and failure analyses\nThis is an onsite role in McKinney, TX.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically require Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) majors and a minimum of 5 (Five) years of prior relevant experience.\nIn-depth knowledge in material characteristics, material application, material selection and material design selection.\nExperience with mechanical assembly and technical datasheet.\nU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access required information\nExperience serving as a technical lead in a rapid manufacturing environment\nQualifications We Prefer\nMasters or Ph.D. degree in STEM\nSignificant interaction with internal and external customers is expected.\nExperience with Design of Experiment (DOE) troubleshooting skills\nProficient in presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences\nSuperior multi-discipline collaboration skills\nExperience with material testing in an analytical laboratory environment \nWhat We Off er\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
