Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nRaytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Directorate who will support X-Band Radar technology. The Radar Systems Engineer will be the primary point-of-contact for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) deployed radars. The SI&T Sustaining Engineering Technical Lead will be the primary SI&T interface to the customer community, program management, the integrated product team (IPT), the chief engineer and other stakeholders. The individual in this role leads a small team of Radar Systems Engineers in their analysis, reporting of radar performance, and development of troubleshooting and corrective action plans for a range of issues including mechanical, electrical, microwave, software and cyber security.\nWhat You Will Do\nManage the execution of all scope of work assigned to the radar sustaining engineering teams, determine the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work, and review and approve any SI&T deliverables before delivery to the customer.\nSupport program growth through the deployment and continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools.\nLead internal status meetings with systems and site engineers and develop weekly technical status and issue reports.\nSupport maintenance event planning with site team, Logistics, and Maintenance planning.\nProvide guidance to systems and site engineers in development of fault isolation procedures, identification of root cause, and implementation of candidate corrective actions.\nInteract with Program Managers, Business Development, Directorate Managers, and Business Area VPs to achieve business objectives.\nWillingness for 10% local and non-local travel including experience with domestic and foreign military sales products.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, Unix, shell scripting and/or other programming languages.\nExperience with systems engineering, radar data analysis, integration, verification, validation and/or system testing.\nExperience with electronic schematics and/or diagrams.\nQualifications We Prefer\nFamiliarity with X-Band radar technology radar hardware and software.\nExperience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle.\nExperience working on international programs.\nExperience in management of engineering teams.\n5+ years in technical and program leadership positions (IPT Lead, CPT Lead, Project Manager, Systems Lead, Test Director, etc.).\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
