The successful candidate will have a well-rounded foundation in general Logistics and strong leadership skills, allowing them to manage a newly created team supporting Fourth Shift in Andover, MA. This role will have responsibility for Dock activities, Material Distribution, and Packaging during fourth shift operations including oversight of a 4-10 person team of Represented Employees.\nThis role requires the flexibility to accomplish any required Logistics tasks across multiple areas and functions, during a shift with reduced support. Data driven decision making, attention to detail, and a confident leadership style will be crucial for success.\nWhat You Will Do\nEnsure all scheduled shipments go out as planned.\nEnsure any incoming material is properly received and then distributed within the plant.\nSupport any Packaging needs as required.\nEnsure continuity with the overall Logistics goals for the Andover stie. \nConduct daily/weekly Tier Meetings.\nOversee a team of 4-10 represented employees.\nProvide reporting/status as required.\nMake daily updates to notes on WIP status, unreleased work, quality issues and identify action items.\nThis role will be 6am-6pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with 4 hours being worked Thursday, or 8 hours on Thursday every two weeks.\nThis will be an onsite role in our Andover, MA location.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.\nExperience within planning, scheduling, production control, Manufacturing, operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or experience in other production driven environments. \nExperience managing daily team operations or equivalent leadership responsibilities.\nAbility to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.\nQualifications We Prefer\nExperience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.\nExperience with MRP/ERP systems (special program access or equivalent)\nExperience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing\nExperience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and/or tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization and continuous improvement \nExperience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook/Skype\nundefined\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
