Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.\nCollins Aerospace is looking for a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Focal Leader who supports and facilitates the alignment of communication between the Global Supplier Quality (GSQ) Central Organization, the plant(s)/site(s) and the RTX supply base. The SBU Focal is responsible for driving accountability for the execution of actions needed to ensure proper flow and quality of material to RTX plants and customers. Processes supplier submission of nonconforming material through SRIs/V1s/V2s/NOPQEs etc. Supports QN Processing (SAP, iQMS, EtQ, Epicor, etc.), ensures escape data integrity, validates QN responsibility, drives FAI prioritization, waivers (QMS and Nadcap) along with 2nd/3rd party audit support on site. Engages in tier meetings and CAB reviews as well as with programs and site Operations teams to drive actions to completion. Facilitates the disposition of supplier’s request for process approval/changes to Flight Safety or Frozen Processes to their respective Business Unit.\nThis position is onsite in Rome, New York.\nWhat You Will Do\nAnalyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of supplier’s assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.\nCoordinates containment activities and the involvement of the right commodity or central quality representative; including SAP, iQMS, Epicor, etc. and Systems QN information support.\nPrepares and interprets CAB details for presentation to plant(s)/site(s) and coordinate implementation of action items/deliverables to the associate commodity or central quality representative.\nEnsures escape data integrity and validates QN responsibility.\nAssists on the prioritization and escalation of FAIs.\nParticipates in tier meetings, Quality Clinics and provide onsite assistance for 2nd and 3rd party audits and ensure that follow ups are conducted and actions assigned are closed.\nAssists on Risk Release and Waiver requests as applicable.\nSupporting in review the non-fault found items and assist with their disposition.\nFacilitates the disposition of supplier’s request for process approval/changes to Flight Safety or Frozen Processes to their respective Business Unit.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR\nAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR\nIn absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.\nExperience with Quality and Continuous Improvement tools\nExperience with AS9100 requirements.\nExperience with Root Cause Analysis.\nExperience with Supplier Management.\nExperience with MS office suite, specifically creating PowerPoint presentations and MS Excel data tables and visual metrics.\nU.S. Citizen Required.\nQualifications We Prefer\nExperience MS office suite.
