Reporting directly to the In-Service Deputy Program Manager, you will join an exciting project focused new and innovative engineering activities focused on Submarine Combat System development, implementation and certification. As a proactive and collaborative engineer, you will engage directly with key stakeholders as you work to introduce new technology to Australia's submarine fleet.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport Combat System design and integration activities.\nProvide engineering support of Installation and Set To work activities of Combat and Communication Systems.\nLead shore and platform formal verification activities with key stakeholders.\nSupport the production of Design Certification against top level system specifications.\nTechnical risk analysis.\nRunning major reviews throughout the lifecycle, including peer reviews, preliminary and detailed design reviews and test readiness reviews.\nMentor junior team members to build team skills in systems engineering methodology, as well as the required tools and procedures\nSkills, Experience and Qualifications\nDegree qualified in System Engineering disciplines, involving one or more of the following: requirements definition, requirements management, analysis, design, integration and verification in one or more of the following engineering fields: Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Communication, Software and/or Combat/RF Systems.\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels.\nKnowledge of project management milestones coupled with the ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision to deliver completed work according to scheduled commitments.\nAvailable to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.\nApplicants must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting 1 level.\nDesirable\nExperience working within defence or a highly regulated industry.\nExperience with Microsoft and Atlassian tool suites (Teams, JIRA, Confluence, etc).\nExperience working with communications systems would be an advantage (HF/ UHF/ SATCOM etc).\nExperience in ILS, Production, Systems Safety and Configuration Management.\nKnowledge and experience in the use of PLM tools.\nExperience with scientific or engineering documentation and test engineering processes and procedures.\nExperience with Linux operating systems, networking and technical problem solving.\nEligibility to hold Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) standing and a level of Design Authority delegation to support system Design Certification activities\nIn return, we will support you with access to best practice tools, systems and processes while continually investing in your growth by providing tailored learning and development opportunities.\nThis is your opportunity to join the brightest minds in the nation working for the mission on leading-edge technology to deliver Australia’s most significant Defence capabilities.\nIf you are looking to contribute to the mission that matters, click apply now or contact us at \nRTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
