Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world.\nThe Space & Airborne (SAS) Center within Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking talented Systems Reliability Engineers who will focus on Reliability and Failure Investigation work products.\nThe Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) SAS Department supports troubleshooting, resolving system-level failures, and driving reliability improvements across radar hardware and software programs. Life Cycle Engineering optimizes product supportability, effectiveness, and efficiency across the entire lifecycle from design through production, sustainment, and field operations. LCE ensures Raytheon products remain dependable, operable, safe, and affordable. This position is an onsite role in Goleta , California.\nWhat You Will Do:\nCollaborate across engineering, operations, supply chain, and program management to perform failure investigations, improve product reliability, and support troubleshooting throughout the lifecycle Support test teams by analyzing large data sets to identify trends and drive preventive or predictive maintenance initiatives\nDevelop design solutions that improve initial and long-term system reliability based on production and field failure trends\nCreate and maintain Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) and assess redundancy needs\nPerform MTBF modeling, reliability predictions, and component-level stress analysis, including electrical and thermal derating\nConduct Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to identify and mitigate system risks\nDefine Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) approaches, including thermal and vibration profiles\nAssist reliability verification and maturation testing activities\nConduct root cause analysis using basic methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, RCA) \nParticipate in failure investigation teams and communicate across program functions Conduct root cause analysis using basic methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, RCA) \nReview technical documentation for accuracy and compliance \nTest event support activity may require travel, which is not expected to exceed 30%\nQ ualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and prior experience with troubleshooting, foundational root cause analysis methods, and data analysis.\nInterpret failure data using Python or similar tools to support analytical tasks\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
