Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the naval undersea and naval surface domains, including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration. You will support the development, verification, and validation of system requirements by ensuring they are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with program objectives. In this role, you will create and maintain requirements throughout the system lifecycle, review technical work products for accuracy and compliance, and collaborate with engineering teams to capture inputs and translate them into actionable requirements. You will also contribute to improving requirements-related processes, standards, and tools to enhance overall system quality and consistency.\nWhat You Will Do\nSupport the definition, management, and validation of system requirements across the full engineering lifecycle.\nReview technical work products to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established requirements and standards.\nContribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes, procedures, and methodologies related to requirements and system performance.\nAssist in aligning system architecture, integration, verification, and deployment activities with project objectives and traceable requirements.\nCollaborate across disciplines to resolve technical issues, mitigate risks, and maintain traceability configuration and requirements.\nSupport the review of technical deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and engineering standards.\nDemonstrate the ability to identify potential technical or programmatic obstacles, work with stakeholders to negotiate needed changes, and help drive alignment to resolve issues.\nAssist in evaluating engineering strategies, operational approaches, and program documentation to help ensure alignment with project goals and efficient use of resources.\nTravel domestically, up to 15%, to support customer meetings and technical events.\nWhat You Will Learn\nAfter completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) activities across the product development lifecycle.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.\nExperience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, and/or other digital engineering tools.\nExperience with system software, system hardware, system requirements and/or test.\nQualifications We Prefer\nHands-on experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and practices\nDeep subject matter expertise in systems engineering or a related technical field, including providing guidance and driving technical direction.\nExperience analyzing system performance metrics and applying optimization techniques to improve capability and efficiency.\nExperience breaking down complex technical problems, analyzing data, and developing clear, actionable solutions.\nExperience with technical writing and oral presentations.\nWhat We Offer\nOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
