What You Will Do:

• You will support the design and fabrication of electrical and/or mechanical test fixtures.

• You will develop test artifacts including test plans, procedures, reports, and manuals.

• You will build and fabricate product prototypes and hardware.

• You will utilize laboratory/test equipment including universal testers, environmental chambers, vibration table, ovens, an icing wind tunnel, etc.

• You will work as part of an integrated team and receive technical guidance/input from other engineers and technicians.

What You Will Learn:

• You will learn the function and details of components for ice protection, potable water systems, and specialty heated applications.

• You will learn aerospace design and test standards and how they apply to ice protection, potable water systems, and specialty heated applications.

• You will learn how MATLAB and LabVIEW are utilized in real world test setups to perform tests and collect test data.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

• Experience in Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, and CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
