You will contribute to high-quality physics-based analysis while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and project engineers.\nAs a Thermo-Fluids Engineer I, at Pratt & Whitney you will……\nConduct fluid-thermal analysis of gas turbine bearing compartments, gearboxes, oil/air service tubes and ducts.\nUtilize analytical methods to model conductive, convective, and radiative heat Apply numerical modeling tools to perform heat transfer and fluid-flow analysis.\nCollaborate with design and analytical teams to ensure alignment of technical requirements and project goals.\nPrepare technical documentation and presentations to communicate analysis results and recommendations.\nSupport the development and validation of design solutions based on analysis results.\nParticipate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.\nWhat You Will Learn\nCandidates hired will begin their first 2.5 years at Pratt & Whitney as part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP). This program consists of three rotations that are 12 months - 9 months - 9 months in duration and typically occur in three distinct disciplines within the hiring department. The intent of our EDP is to offer breadth & depth in various technical experiences through challenging positions available in our organizations.
