This position is in support of a long-term communications systems modelling and simulation(M&S)laboratory and academics program.\nCandidates must ensure their resumesincludessufficient detail todemonstratealignment with the job requirements, including relevant academic and technical qualifications, and experience.\nAs this role is primarily based in the UAE, the candidate must successfully complete all requiredbackgroundand pre-hire immigration checks and be eligible to obtain the right to work andresidein the country. The company will support the candidate through the relevant application process.Due to the nature of the program to remain ITAR free this position is NOT available to US candidates.\nRole Overview:\nThe CMSE roleshall support thefollowing specific areas:\nResponsible for being a communications systemsubject matter expert (SME)\n\nTeaching and mentoring a teamperforming in-depthmodellingand analysis ofUAEcommunicationssystemsusingcommercial and specially developedM&S tools and techniques\n\nInstructor/facilitatorforthe CBL Foundations course\n\nProviding M&S development support, mentoring, and on the job training (OJT)for theCBLEmiratistaff.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nProvidein-countryCommunications M&S SMEfor Collins aerospace CBL activities\n\nTeachCommunications Systems andM&S concepts and approaches as part of the CBL Foundations Course\n\nProvide students’ academic support and mentoring to ensure successful completion of the course\n\nAssess students’ understanding of M&Sand communications systemstopics and evaluate theirproficiency\n\nSupport the Instructional Systems Design process to develop and improve the course\n\nSupport installation of the Connected Battlespace Lab (CBL) at a UAE site\n\nProvidein-lab M&S project design, planning, execution, and analysis alongside Emirati CBL Foundations Course graduates\n\nConduct OJT and mentoring of apprentice level Technical Lead/Systems EngineersCBL staffto improve theirproficiencyand grow their skills\n\nDevelopa working knowledge of UAE MOD specific communications systemsto include networks, RF datalinks, 5G/6G wireless, Satellite Communications (SATCOM), data encryption devices, radios, electronic warfare (EW), Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled communications, software defined radio (SDR), etc.\n\nUtilise M&Stools (e.g., Ansys, MATLAB, etc.)to develop communications systems models and simulations\n\nReview and advise onthe development of CBLpolicies and procedures\n\nWork with reach-back support engineers and SMEs to gain andmaintainexpertisein CBL Foundations Course topics andcommunications systemstechnical areas (e.g., M&S tools and techniques, communications systems, mission operations, emerging technologies, etc.)\n\nOther related duties asrequired\n\nEssential Qualifications and Experience You Must Have:\nStrongverbaland written communicationskills in the English Language\n\nUnderstanding of Arabic culture, sensitivity to the Islamic environment, and ability to teach and work in the program’s environment\n\n12+ years of communications systems experience\n\n5+ years of M&S experience\n\nExperience with teaching/mentoring junior technical personnel/students\n\nExperience in the classroom teaching and guiding students during self-guided learning\n\nMilitary communications systems experience (e.g., datalinks, networks, radios, RF, etc.)\n\nApplied knowledge of M&S principles and practices in a communications systems related domain\n\nDemonstrated ability to conduct short-term studies, translate project requirements into model contexts, and coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders to meet M&S project objectives\n\nAbility to plan and lead the execution of M&S technical projects\n\nAbility to derive and specify clear requirements with measurable acceptability criteria for M&S projects\n\nAbility to assess and communicate the level of confidence / risk associated with M&S project findings\n\nAbility to present model and simulation designs, implementation architectures, and results to M&S professionals and senior decision makers\n\nDevelopment of communications systems/networks models\n\nDevelopment of communications systems/network simulations\n\nSimulations results analysis anddevelopment of optimization recommendations\n\nQualifications and Experience We Prefer:\nExperience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell\n\nExperience with Software Tool Kits (STKs), writing software adapters, use of AI agents\n\nExperience using MATLAB, Ansys, or other M&S software applications\n\nFamiliar with agile software development\n\nFamiliar with IT infrastructure software applications (e.g., MS Server)\n\nExperience in the Middle East or working with native Arab cultures\n\nMilitary experience or military related programs\n\nUnderstanding of RTX Collins Aerospace and its policies/procedures\n\nPlease ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role.
