Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.\nRaytheon is currently seeking a Senior Field Engineer - Field Engineering with strong Network and electronics skills to perform network removal, installation, integration, test, and validation activities. You will support the Total Ship Computer Environment infra (TSCEi) team supporting the Zumwalt Total Ship Activation program. You will provide electronics expertise for ships at port undergoing network refresh. Overall program support involves integration, validation, and sell off for various defense systems on the Zumwalt program.\nPosition Location: Pascagoula, MS\nTravel not anticipated.\nWhat You Will Do\nInitial responsibilities will include taking down old networks, pulling cables and racks out. Populate and depopulate Server racks.\nUpkeep and installation of the TSCEI (Total Ship Computing Environment Infrastructure) software aboard Zumwalt Class vessels.\nWork collaboratively with a team of highly skilled Software and Network Technician and Engineers.\nPerform equipment installation, checkout, testing, reporting of results, EXCOMMs, C4I, SW, HW and FW upgrades and maintaining records as needed.\nProvide regular internal status reports to the TSCEi Team.\nProvide support demonstrating system stage tests.\nInteract with the Shipbuilder, SUPSHIP, Ship’s Force and outside vendors on TSCE issues and concerns.\nPerform normal climbing and lifting associated with shipboard electronic work.\nQualifications You Must Have\nTypically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.\nActive and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.\nExperience with software / network systems, hardware / software integration, or system activation and test, including hands-on experience working with electrical and computer systems design, integration, and test in either a lab or field setting.\nExperience with Naval Communications systems and C4I systems\nExperience safely conducting testing and integration in a shipboard environment.\nQualifications We Prefer\nDemonstrated track record of completed integration events.\nCustomer focus and collaboration skills.\nDemonstrated Multi-tasking skills - close out projects completely.\nPrior experience working with Military and Commercial Marine control systems.\nExperience with test procedure development and test conduct.\nFamiliarity with Zumwalt Ship networks and equipment.\nComputer, Network and Fiber Optic Certifications.\nC4I and combat system test tools (hardware and software).\nAbility to perform work on board a naval vessel under construction and during trial periods at sea. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
