We partner with customers to scale AI with speed, efficiency, and sustainability, backed by secured land, power access, and accelerated delivery models. \nWhat Impact You Will Have \nAs Director of Cost Management for, you will bring cost clarity and commercial discipline to Rubix’s regional data center portfolio. You’ll build the benchmarks, controls, and reporting that help us make smart investment decisions and deliver complex projects with confidence. \nWhat You’ll Do \nOwn cost visibility \nOwn cost planning, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for data center developments. \nEstablish robust cost controls across the project lifecycle, from early feasibility through final account. \nDevelop regional cost benchmarks and lessons learned to improve future investment and delivery decisions. \nShape commercial decisions \nPartner with delivery, design, construction, finance, procurement, and leadership teams on cost strategy. \nRecommend procurement routes, tender strategy, change control, contract risk, value engineering, speed to market, and commercial trade-offs. \nProduce clear cost reports, cash flow forecasts, expenditure profiles, variance analysis, and executive-level updates. \nDevelop cost metrics across multiple projects to aid forward cost budgeting and cost control strategy. \nIdentify and incorporate mechanisms to improve project capex expenditure and improve cost efficiency to target improvements in cost/MW deployment, in consideration to Operational impacts \nBuild the function \nCreate repeatable cost management processes, templates, reporting cadence, and governance standards. \nManage external quantity surveyors, cost consultants, contractors, and commercial advisors. \nSupport team growth by identifying capability needs and developing best practices. \nWhat You’ll Need \n10+ years of cost management, quantity surveying, commercial management, or project controls experience. \nExperience supporting large-scale construction, data center, mission-critical, industrial, or infrastructure projects globally\nStrong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management, tendering, change control, and final accounts. \nExperience developing budgets, cost plans, forecasts, cash flows, and executive reporting. \nKnowledge of the needs and expectations of the business finance team and their objectives for accurate reporting on cash flow, profitability, and stakeholder reporting. \nAbility to travel globally as needed. \nWhat Will Make You Stand Out \nDirect experience with hyperscale, colocation, or AI infrastructure data center projects. \nProfessional qualification such as MRICS, chartered quantity surveyor status, or equivalent regional credentials. \nExperience using earned value management, advanced project controls, or portfolio-level cost benchmarking. \nAbility to influence senior stakeholders through clear commercial analysis and practical recommendations. \nComfort building a cost management function in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. \nComfortable interacting at all stakeholder levels, from project level to executive level. \nWhat We Offer \nExposure to high-impact investment decisions in a rapidly growing AI infrastructure platform \nOpportunity to work across the full asset lifecycle-from origination through operations \nDirect collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams \nA fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with strong growth potential \nRubix offers competitive compensation including base pay, performance incentives, and benefits. \nOur job titles may span more than one job level.
